August 2024
Softpower Connections, dedicated to bringing Latin America closer to the world’s brightest minds, organized the second Latin American tour of Mois Navon, a pioneer of autonomous vehicles and a global leader in high-tech innovation.
During this tour, over 2,000 attendees participated in person across more than 17 presentations in Medellín, Colombia, Panama City, Panama, and Lima, Peru. Navon’s talks delved into the impact of autonomous vehicles on the future of cities, the consequences of AI on the job market, and the intersection of ethics and artificial intelligence. These thought-provoking topics spurred engaging debates and highlighted the challenge of integrating technology with a focus on the common good.
Navon captivated diverse audiences, including students and faculty at the Pontificia Universidad Bolivariana in Medellín, where he was the keynote speaker at the 10th edition of UPB’s Summer Week. In Lima, he engaged with MBA students at Universidad del Pacífico, discussing the employment implications of AI integration.
His sessions at esteemed organizations and institutions, such as the Lima Chamber of Commerce, the multi-sector Confiep Euromotors, and many others, attracted executives from leading companies. Here, Navon expanded on ethical frameworks and the transformative impact of emerging technologies on various productive sectors.
A lifelong devotee to technology, Mois Navon holds six patents, including the pioneering chip for autonomous vehicles, the Star Wars missile defense simulator, and on-demand aircraft displays. In parallel, he is also a rabbi and holds a PhD in Philosophy.
The tour featured a total of 17 presentations, numerous new contacts, fresh faces, extensive media interviews throughout the region, and countless new experiences. While no two countries are the same, the warmth and hospitality of Latin America remain unparalleled. Softpower Connections made this journey possible, driven by our mission to connect the world with the knowledge and technologies transforming our lives.
